BizFed Institute convened a forum in 2020 that brought broadband technology users together to speak about how they have adjusted as organizations in the face of the challenges that COVID-19 presented. Their discussion allowed us to hear from their unique perspective how they were able to pivot and set the foundation for being able to sustain themselves and thrive. We had discussions and examples that demonstrated if we collaborate through public-private partnerships, we can get through this crisis.
There are a lot of questions about the Digital Divide and the role that 5G technology will play regarding this technological advancement that will be the platform and backbone of the public and private sector. Technology is evolving rapidly we need to learn about it quickly, and then master it to maintain our ability to be competitive on the global stage.
This upcoming forum will track the progress and share what we have learned in adopting tele-work, tele-health and tele-learning. Our goals are to periodically track the progress of closing the digital divide and share new ideas on the advantages that we’ve discovered along with the goal to remove public policy and expense barriers that allows for accelerated broadband development.
